As part of an ongoing study for the World Bank, we're trying to understand how questions related to road traffic injuries get included in some DHS surveys. In particular, we are interested in finding out more about the history of the injury module (specifically the questions on road traffic injuries) that was included in 2016 DHS in Ethiopia, which is a focus country for our analysis. If there are people we can talk to who can help us understand this better, could you please let us know?

According to Yodit Bekele, who was DHS's survey manager for the 2016 survey in Ethiopia, the USAID Mission was very involved. Staff at the Mission asked DHS to draft the questions and then approved them; the Mission wanted data on traffic accidents. It is likely that a range of other stakeholders also wanted the questions.

Thank you so much for the response. Would it be possible to get the contact information for Yodit Bekele, so that we could inquire about this further?
