Hi,
I am trying to create an Under 5 years of age children data file from the BDKR datafile of the Bangladesh DHS dataset 2017-18. The BDKR data set has information on mothers of children under 5 years of age, I need the information on the children, not their mothers. I realize this will require me to reshape the data somehow, keeping the individual children in the rows instead of the mothers. I would ideally like to create a children data file from the Women's Questionnaire dataset, the BDIR file. Can anyone please help me with advice on how to achieve this?

The KR file ("K" for "kids") has one record for every child of interviewed women, born in the five years preceding the survey. The data for the mother is included on the child's record. This is the file you want.
