Dear DHS Forum:

I was wondering if you could help me find the appropriate variable for total sick child visits and observations. Is this taken from the facility dataset (scf (total sick child observations) or total number of sick child at facility (v077) or from the sick child dataset?

Thanks for your consideration,

Kajal

Dear Kajal,

If I understand correctly, you are interested in knowing the total number of sick child clients and total number of sick child observations at each facility. In that case, you should be looking at the facility dataset. sct is the total number of sick child clients seen at the facility on the day/s of data collection, and scf is the total number of sick child observations.

Best,
Sara
