Hello all,

Please I need to be sure on applying weights to DHS data for my analysis, as I'm seeing varying views

I did the following:

gen wt=v005/1000000
svyset[pw=wt],psu(v021)strata(v022) singleunit(center)

I noticed that I got different results when I used pw=wt and pw=v005.
Please do I still need to divide v005 by 1000000 or do I use it as is?

Is the result derived from when svyset is used with pw=wt wrong?

Thank you.

You need to divide the sampling weight by 1,000,000.
