Hello everyone!

Can anyone please tell me if the district-level data for NFHS-4 and 5 have data on domestic violence somewhere? The district-level reports that I am getting from the sites don't have the data on violence, yet the state-level data on violence against women is available. Is there some other way to procure the district-level violence data?

Thanks!

Both NFHS-4 and NFHS-5 were designed to provide information on sexual behavior; husband's background and women's work; HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour; and domestic violence only at the state level since those parts of the woman's questionnaire were only asked in 15 percent of households (the state module). For NFHS-4, this is described in the second paragraph of the Sample Design section of the Introduction chapter in the national report. The same procedure was followed in NFHS-5. The domestic violence results are not available at the district level since the sample sizes at the district level are not sufficiently large.
