I am interested in thermal care for newborns as part of my analysis. The 2018 NDHS reports on skin-to-skin care (m77), immediate drying (s434b), and delayed bathing (s434c).

However, in the 2018 Nigerian Birth Record (NGBR7AFL.dta) all observations for s434b (wiped dry in a few minutes after birth) are missing. Was another variables used to calculate immediate drying?

I have looked in the manual and searched the forum but can't find information on how immediate drying was calculated. Apologies if I have overlooked this.

Thanks

A correction has been made to the Nigeria DHS 2018 Individual Recode (IR) data file. Values were added to s434b, so this variable is no longer "not applicable".
