Hi! I am a research assistant currently trying to work with data on infecundity rates in Zambia. I noticed that the variable v626a, which gives unmet need for contraception, can be generated using the do-files linked here. However, I want to be able to generate v625a, exposure need to contraception. I would really appreciate any help finding do-files for that variable.

Thank you so much for your time!

v625a is relatively simple to construct once you have run the unmet need code.
gen v625a = 0
replace v625a = 1 if v213==1
replace v625a = 2 if v625a==0 & pregppa24==1
replace v625a = 3 if v625a==0 & infec != 0

It is in the revised unmet need code. Please re-read the code.
By the way, I recommend using the "Revised unmet need variable - survey specific coding" version of the code a this includes the survey-specific code needed, and should run for all surveys, whereas the general code does not handle any of the survey specific cases.
