Hello there,

I would like to know which sample weights need to be accounted to calculate district level estimates for NFHS-4?

Also, is there any definitive guide on this topic?

Thanks,
Mrinal

Following is a response from DHS Senior Sampling Specialist, Mahmoud Elkasabi:

For district level estimates, you can use the national or the state weights; both should give you the same results. For example, for household-level estimates, you can use hv005 or shv005, and for indicators based on women 15-49, you can use v005 or sv005.
