Hello,

I am working with the children's module of the Timor Leste DHS.

I would like to ask whether the same PSUs are re-interviewed in different TLDHS survey waves.

Any answers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Following is a response from DHS Senior Sampling Specialist, Mahmoud Elkasabi:

DHS surveys are cross-sectional surveys that are based on independent samples of PSUs, so the answer is no, different sample is selected for each round. However, since the selection is independent across surveys, one PSU that was selected before for a previous survey might get selected by chance for another survey. However, Even if this happened, we do not keep track of these PSUs.
