Dear Administrator,

Item 412 in the DHS8_MIS_Womens_QRE_EN questionnaire is "At any time during the illness, did (Name) take any medicine for the illness?" I need the data collected for this question for the 2015 Women's survey for Nigeria,

I received the dataset from DHS that has all of my other variables needed for my study but for the "medication use" variable. Can you advise me on how to obtain this variable?

One of the research questions in my study is, "Is there an association between malaria medication use and malaria-induced anemia among children five years old and younger in Nigeria who tested positive for malaria after controlling for parents' educational level and Mosquito Net Use?" The dataset that I already downloaded from DHS website contains the dependent and confounding variables but not the independent variable, malaria medication use.

Also, please confirm if I will be able to link the dataset containing the malaria medication use with the NGFW72SV dataset I already have. That is, is there a unique identifier to link the two datasets if I cannot have all the variables in one dataset?

Kind regards,

Temi
