Hi,
I didn't see the district variable (CODIST in previous data) in any file of the recent BDHS 2017-18. Can you please inform whether this variable is available? If yes, where I can get it?

Regards,
Sumon

Hi Bridgette,
I spatially match the clusters shape file with the shape file of district level map of Bangladesh. I know the GPS location of the clusters are with 0-5 kilometers errors, is it possible to determine the district location by this method?

Regards,
Sumon

Following is a response from Lead Geospatial Research Specialist, Trinadh Dontamsetti:

For the Bangladesh surveys, cluster displacement does not cross boundaries at admin level 1, but it's possible that clusters were displaced out of their districts (admin level 2), especially for some of the smaller districts in the country. Thus, we don't recommend using GPS coordinates to identify the cluster's district.

Dear Trinadh Dontamsetti,
Thanks for your information. So there is a possibility to mismatch but we are not 100% sure that they will mismatch. At this stage, I think I can do my research with a limitation of a few clusters may mismatch if the districts are small.

Sumon
