I have been able to download the GPS locations and display in ArcGIS. I would like to relate the data in spss NGBR52FL.SAV (Birth recode data set for Nigeria standard DHS 2008) to the GPS points on my map, how can i tell the states where the data in SPSS were collected?

The DHSCLUST field from the GPS data files matches the v001 variable from the birth recode or the hv001 variable from the household recode. For detailed information about any field in the GPS datasets, see the GPS Data Format document: http://www.measuredhs.com/What-We-Do/upload/MEASURE-DHS-GPS- Data-Format.pdf

Please refer to the message "District Codes in recode files" ( http://userforum.measuredhs.com/index.php?t=msg&th=70&am p;start=0&) for information on how to determine the state classifications. The Nigeria 2008 DHS birth recode file also contains state classifications in variable v023.
