Hi seniors,
Can anyone help me to construct a maternal mortality rate whose children are below five years of age? for Ethiopian DHS,, 2005, 2011, 2016
I myself find it hard to create the rate.

Following is a response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum

The maternal mortality data come from the sisters of the respondent (and the mm variables). We don't have birth histories for the sisters. It's not possible (unfortunately) to do what you want to do.
