Hello

I am working on the replication of child mortality rates in Angola with the Multiple Indicators and Health Survey (IIMS 2015-2016), I would like you to help me with the Do-file (Stata) or a Syntax (SPSS) to follow up my project.

Thank you

Hello,

The code to produce child mortality rates is found on our Code Library on the GitHub website, both in Stata and SPSS: https://github.com/DHSProgram

Please check chapter 8 and specifically the CM_CHILD.do file here for child mortality rates: https://github.com/DHSProgram/DHS-Indicators-Stata/tree/mast er/Chap08_CM

Before running the code to produce the indicators, please read the readme file on the main page: https://github.com/DHSProgram/DHS-Indicators-Stata
and also the main file for the chapter. In this case CMmain.do in the chapter 8 folder for Stata. You will need to change the paths in the main file and select the survey you are interested in (i.e. change the file names).

In this case since you are only interested in the child mortality rates for the chapter, you can comment out all the do files after line 48 in the CMmain.do file before running the main file. The code takes around 5 mins to run in Stata.

Thank you.

Best,

Shireen Assaf

Dear Dr. Shireen Assaf,
Grateful for the explanation. I will run the do-file according to your guidance.
On the other hand, I would like to know if the ICF has demographic analysis courses available with DHS data?
I await an answer.
Thank you very much
Sincerely, Rigoberto Longuenda
