Hi all,

I'm working on the socio-determinants predicting under-five mortality in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I'm using birth data from DHS 2007 Democratic Republic of Congo. But I have noticed that there is a lot of data missing in the variable b11 (preceding or succeeding birth interval). Could you, please, explain to me what do these missing data represent? What should I do to address the problem?

Note: I'm using STATA for data analysis.

Best regards,
Adrien.

Is it possible that children with no preceding birth interval are first births, and children with no succeeding interval are the most recent births?
