Hello,

The DHS website states that some surveys collect GPS data for health facilities. Specifically, the website states "The data include latitude and longitude coordinates of the surveyed communities and/or health facilities and can be linked to the DHS dataset." (see link below) How does one figure out which datasets have GPS data for health facilities? I am specifically interested in African countries with such data.

Thanks,
rmakonnen

Currently, the only SPA (Service Provision Assessment) surveys that have GPS data available for surveyed health facilities are Kenya 2010 and Namibia 2009. To view the full list of surveys with available GPS data, please visit http://www.measuredhs.com/data/available-datasets.cfm.

There are two important details to keep in mind when using GPS SPA data:
1. The GPS coordinates of sampled facilities are NOT displaced.
2. The GPS data only includes coordinates for the facilities sampled, not for all health facilities within a country. Please review the final report for more information on the sampling procedures.
