Hello DHS,

I was wondering whether there exist child specific weights in the birth recode file? Or am I just supposed to used the same sample weights that are assigned to the mothers of these children?

Thanks!

Response from Noureddine Abderrahim, Senior DHS Data Processing Specialist:

No special weights are created for children in the household. You either take the household weight for children in the household, or the woman's weight for children of interviewed mothers.
