Hello

I want to evaluate the effects of various maternal factors (like age and education) on child health.which recode i should use (women or children recode)?

Almost certainly the child recode. It provides observations at the child level - meaning one observation per child. The woman's recode has one observation per woman interviewed. If you want to know the effect of maternal education on child HAZ or something like that, you want to have the child as the observation, and so you would want to use the child recode.
