I am interested in looking at cervical cancer and HIV in Gabon. I see eight questions on the IR dataset on cancer: s1327,s1326,s1328,s1316,s1329,s1324,s1323, and s1315. I have checked the dhsVII and the corresponding recode manual, and I do not see the survey questions used to collect the data. any help to locate these would be highly appreciated.

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

You did not say WHICH survey in Gabon, but you are apparently working with the most recent one. If you look at the final report, you will see that the questions for these variables are in section 13, which begins on page 564.

DHS data about non-communicable diseases have been under-analyzed, and we encourage you to do as much as you can with these variables in the Gabon survey.
