Does anyone know where to find the distribution of the variables, ie how many % of variables in one data set is categorical etc.

The manual has been incredibly valuable for the data analysis, however it is difficult to calculate this based on the manual. Do you happen to know if there is any excel (or other format) file with this information to access?

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

Forum questions should always specify which survey and variables you are using. The standard recode files are available in SPSS, Stata, and SAS formats. Not Excel.
