I am new to DHS and currently I am working on a project on global education. May I know by any chance if I can get the age of starting primary education for each participants? Or if this info is available for a subgroup of participants?

I can compute this age for populations who are 'still in school' using age_at_survey - education_single_years, but can I have this for all participants?

Any feedback is appreciated! Thank you!

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

The age at which a respondent started school is not a standard variable in DHS surveys. I don't know of any DHS survey in which the question has been asked.

Cases with the same code are in the same district, and you can calculate means, proportions, etc. by districts. Other forum posts include Stata code showing how to do this. The GPS files do not include the boundaries.
