Dear all,

Can somebody please assist with the STATA Do files of total unmet need Original definition for married women 15-49.I wan to make a comparison of total unmet need Original and Revised definitions for Zimbabwe 1994 -2006.

Dear Trevor,

Thanks for the reply. These resources use the updated definition of unmet need. Is it possible to make a distinction between the old calculation of unmet need and the updated version. I am looking for the codes that were used for the calculation of the unmet need using calendar for GROUP 2a, Group 2b and Group 3.

We do not have code for the original definition written in Stata. I am attaching a file that includes the CSPro code that is used for the construction of 3 definitions of unmet need found in v624, v626, and v626a. This code refers to definition 1, definition 2, and definition 3. Definition 2 is the "Original" version and definition 3 is the "Updated" version. Strictly speaking there was an earlier version (definition 1) than the "original" version, but this was replaced by the "original" version a long time ago. Hopefully the CSPro code will provide enough information for you to be able to construct Stata code.
