Good afternoon,

Please, I am in the process of developing a flow chart for my inclusion and exclusion criteria and need your assistance. I am using the DHS Program _ survey search. https://dhsprogram.com/what-we-do/survey-search.cfm?sendsear ch=1&sur_status=Completed&YrFrom=2013&YrTo=2020. I currently have 26 countries with 32 surveys. On closer look, the website states that Cameroon2018 has not fuel characteristics, the PR dataset file explored (image attached) has fuel characteristics recorded. Also, Senegal, 2017 ( didn't check 2016,2015) site says no anthropometry, but there are records of height and weight in the files (body mass index not available). Similar ones are noted in Togo, and Uganda, with site recording no Malaria testing but the file has results of M_RDT. These are all I have looked at in details for now. Please, I would really appreciate if you could help shed some light into this to help construct a valid rationale for excluding countries in my study.

With gratitude
EUnice

Following is a response from the DHS Team involved in maintaining the "Survey Characteristics":

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Please keep in mind that the "Survey Characteristics" is not the definitive source of information regarding content of our surveys, it is merely intended as an aid. The definitive resources for what was collected in a survey are the questionnaires, which are printed in the appendix of the final reports, and also the data files.

We will update the missing information in the Survey Characteristics database.
