Hello All,
I am attempting to do a secondary analysis of the DHS Maternal Health Survey Women's questionnaire and am new to Complex Samples. I am having a difficult time inputting the correct information into the Complex Samples Design Wizard. Does anyone know of a good resource? Specifically, I want to make sure I am inputting the correct information into the wizard at each stage,..variables for strata, cluster, and weight, in addition to the correct measure of size and proportion if I am working with a subset of key variables. I have a feeling I am making it out to be a lot harder than it actually is and oh yes,.. I am not versed in syntax.
Thank you in advance.

Dear user, these variables are typically standard across all of our files. If you are using the women's or children's file:
weight = v005 (it must be divided by 1000000)
cluster = v001 (the primary sampling unit is v021; v001 and v021 are the same in this survey)
strata = v023
Please refer to the standard recode manual if you have questions about how to calculate specific indicators:

Thank you,
