I note that there are no migration questions in the DHS and I strongy suggest that they should be returned to the survey. In fact, in the recent years many migration scholars from different parts of the world expressed strong wishes to enhance the availability and quality of migratin data.which are key to understanding socioeconomic transformation and relevant policy making in developing countries, and there are several groups of scholars in the relevant fields who are discussing about or working on this issue. I suggest that DHS program organize discussions in more detail about migration questions in DHS and eventually add them to the survey.
