Hi, I tried to replicate estimates on final report of the 2016 Ethiopian DHS.
On page 15, it is reported that, In Ethiopia, the primary school net attendance ratio (NAR) for the population age 7-14 is 71% (72% for
girls and 71% for boys) (Table 2.13).
In order to replicate this result I use data file called "ETPR70FL.DTA" and execute the following command,
generate wgt = hv005/1000000
gen school_attend= 1 if hv121 ==2
replace school_attend= 0 if hv121 ==0
sum school_attend [iweight=wgt] if hv105 >=7 & hv105 <=14
In my analysis, primary school net attendance ratio (NAR) for the population age 7-14 is 72.15% which is different from what is reported in the reported (i.e 71%)
Could you please let me know why my result is different?
