Hello,

I am looking for the variable in the database that corresponds to questions 032 and 033 on children being left home alone and children under the care of other children, respectively. This is specifically for Egypt DHS VI (2014). My team and I cannot seem to find them in the datasets. We were under the impression that we were looking for the variables SH232 and SH233, but they don't seem to exist in the datasets that were downloaded. Note: these are country-specific.

If anyone could help in locating the variables that correspond to these two questions, that would be greatly appreciated!

If you are referring to Egypt 2014 DHS, you should be looking in the household and household members files for the variables named: SH232* and SH233*. (I believe we already answered to the same question by email).
