Dear Sir,

Did you know any year the questionnaire In Egypt was expanded and requires additional time to (ask about the children less than 5 years).

As I know it is in 2000 DHS it is correct or not?

All the best....

Dear User,
Can you please be more specific about what you are asking? Is there a specific table in a final report you are referencing? Please specify the country and year of the survey. Thank you!

Dear Sir,

there is no table in the report.... the country it is Egypt and year of survey all the survey....

One of the most commonly mentioned problems of DHS birth histories is the displacement of births .This is linked to the design of the DHS questionnaire, and to the fact that some interviewers can change the birth dates of certain children to avoid having to administer the lengthy health modules in the DHS1. This problem was identified early in the DHS program (Arnold, 1990; SCHOUMAKER 2011).

when I found displacement of births in Egypt DHS(2005-2008-2014) were bigger than DHS(2000-1995-1992-1988).

my question I want to check If the questionnaire was expanded and requires additional time to asking about the children in DHS2000 or after that is my question?

All the best,

Dear User, Dr. Kia Reinis, Technical Specialist wrote:

Each survey publishes the questionnaire in an Appendix at the back of the final report. You can read the survey questionnaires to determine how many questions were asked and for what age of children in the particular surveys you are interested in. The survey final reports are available for download from our website.

The Woman's questionnaire also includes time stamps at the beginning and end of the interview so you can calculate interview times in the Egypt surveys.

You can find an excellent analysis of birth omission and displacement in DHS Methodological Report #11 conducted by Dr. Thomas Pullum and Dr. Stan Becker:
