Dear DHS Experts
Thank you very much for your help.I am working on Pakistan data set (ir) 1990 and 2006 on cesarean section rates. I am working with SAS.I weighted the sample as recommended by dhs.Problem is that the cesarean section rate(weighted) I calculated are totally different from the rates calculated by stat compiler like for Pakistan 2006 I calculated the total cesarean section (for births 5 years preceding the survey)as 8.5 whereas stat compiler shows 7.3(five years preceding the survey) I am confused why is it so? Kindly answer me. Thanks in advance.

Please include the full code you used to calculate the indicator, and we will review it.

Dear Trevor,
Thank you very much for your kind concern.I am working on PKIR21FL, PKIR52FL, only on last birth within 5 years preceding the survey. My outcome variable is Cesarean section I am using M17_1 for this. I think it is beacuse i am working on last birth and stat compiler and reports show the result for all births. Is it so?
Regards.

That sounds likely. You could check that by using the KR file and tabulating M17 for all births and comparing both the denominator and the percentage with the table.

Dear Trevor,
I am really very very thankful to you for vanishing my confusion. I already did that and found the BR and reports/compiler results same it strengthen my assumption that my results are different because of only last birth. GOD bless you.
Regards,
