I am trying to find regional data on maternal mortality in Haiti- the Sud Est district. I saw a message on the list serve that the DHS doesn't usually drill down below the country level for maternal mortality as it is not always statistically stable enough. Does anyone know if there is district data for Haiti, I have been unable to find it.
thank you!

The 2000 and 2005-06 DHS surveys in Haiti did collect data to calculate Maternal Mortality Ratio; however, this data is only representative at the national level and it is not recommended to calculate it at any sub-national areas. We are not aware of any other sources of data that provide statistically stable estimate at the district level.
