Hello,
I am a family doctor doing my last year thesis on the measles topic in Madagascar, particularly on "how socio economic factors could influence the vaccination status of their child between the age of 9 months to 5 years".
I relied on the Madagascar DHS of 2008-2009 and used the same criterias on household belongings and some house characteristics to define an wealth index. But my problem is, i don't know how to calculate this wealth index with my several criterias as i don't know what coefficient is apllied on each item. Therefore i can't rank my sample within wealth quintiles as you did on the DHS.

Could you help me and explain to me how to calculate this wealth index and quintiles ?

Thank you so much, i would be so grateful if you could give me a clue to that.
