Hello,Please i am using the Nigeria Malaria indicator survey(2015) for analysis can i merge the household and the women data together? I am looking at the inequality in the use of malaria preventive measures in household and pregnant women and in the household data there is no variable for antimalarial use among pregnant women.Thank you

Following is a response from DHS Lead Malaria Research Analyst, Cameron Taylor:

Thank you for your post. Based on your request I don't think you need to merge the HR and IR files. The 2015 Nigeria MIS added surveys specific questions regarding the pregnancy status of all household members, recent fever of household members, if they sought care, etc. You can see these questions in the Household Questionnaire Q9, Q13, Q14, Q15, and Q16. In the household member dataset (NGPR71fL) these are variables sh09, sh13, sh14, sh15, and sh16.

If you still need information about merging you can reference the following page on our website https://dhsprogram.com/data/Merging-Datasets.cfm, however, based on your description I think everything you need is in the PR file.
