Hi,
I'm looking for data on Sexual abuse in Children (18 years and younger) in India and after effects like Depression or PTSD or fear. Where can I get the data for this? I downloaded datasets but it doesn't have any variables for abuse or sexual abuse, I just see domestic violence.

Can you suggest me on how I can get this data?

thank you
Malathi

Dear User, You are correct. For India NFHS-4 you can only find some information in the Household Relations section of the questionnaire (located in the woman's questionnaire). The women eligible for this section are age 15-49.

Look at the following variables.
Questionnaire
Q1107h-j - recode variable D105H, D105k, D105j
Q1117b - recode variable
Q1125 - recode variable D125
Q1126 - recode variable D125
Q1127 - recode variable D127
Q1128 - recode variable D124
Q1130 - recode variable D126

For other surveys, you may want to check sections on disability or domestic violence if applicable for those surveys. Not all surveys have these sections. We generally do not collect this type of data in our surveys.
thank you!
