Hi there,

I found a variable on marriage registration (s709a) in Nepal DHS 2016 Women's Questionnaire but I was not able to find the description of the variable in recode manual (Manual for VII is still unavailable?). It would be great if you could kindly send me the description of the above variable.

Dear User,
This variable S709A corresponds to Q709A in the questionnaire for the woman. It is a country specific variable and means exactly what it means in the questionnaire. You can look at the frequencies for S709A for more information.
Q709A Has your marriage been registered?
The labels are
1 Yes
2 No
