Hi,
I am using BDHS14 KR file.

I estimated the prevalence of stunted where the number of children under age 5 was 6965.
The BMI category of women showed 7069 observations.

Again, when I am associating (chi-2) between stunted (yes,no) child and women's BMI category, I am getting 6313 total observations.

Why I am getting different observations. Why not same observations?
Then, can I assume that, the 6313 observations are indicating a mother and her child/children of a same household?

Please explain in details.
Thank you in advance.
