Dear all,

We are trying to reproduce the results for postnatal care for the newborn in the first two days after birth in Malawi 2015 (table 9.11), Tanzania 2015 (table 9.10) and Zimbabwe 2015 (table 9.10).
Looking at KR dataset version 70, the variable m70 (checkup in 2 months), has a prevalence of 81.2% for Zimbabwe, 42.4% for Malawi, and 34.9% for Tanzania. These values are lower or lightly higher than published result.

Is it possible that countries are not using a standard definition for postnatal care for the newborn in the first two days after birth?
If not, is it possible that the dataset has any problem?
How should we proceed?

Thank you in advance!

Hi ICEH
You are not alone.
I'm trying to reproduce tbe table of women posnatal care from DHS_2012 in Haiti Table 9.7 .
It is also a nightmare. I can't find some variables when there were in the questionaire.
My ponderate factor is great because I reproduced the table for the prenatal.

I don't know if it's a problem relative to a standard definition for postnatal care!

I hope someone in the DHS Team will help soon.

Thank you in advance
