Dear all,
We always generate both, the old and the latest (2012) versions of the Family Planning Need Satistied indicator. The old one is based on v626; the latest one, on v626a.
Generally these indicators have very similar estimates, but we got very different results from this survey.
Our estimate using v626a matches the published one (81.9%); however the old definition estimate was 97.4%, which is not consistent.
Analyzing more carefully the variables v626 and v626a, we found out that a great number of women are coded as infecund/menopausal in the old definition (v626), but coded in diverse cathegories in v626a:
Is it a problem in the dataset?
Thank you!
Best wishes,
Fernanda
