Hi everyone,
This is my first time suing the DHS data set. I want to calculate the total number of stillbirth from the 2014 -Ghana DHS .

However the data set contains a list of variables (eg. br6_0 upto br620) , how do I go about doing the calculation. I am using the women's file.

Any help and suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you

In the Ghana DHS 2014 survey information on stillbirths was only collected as part of the reproductive calendar for the 5-6 years preceding the survey. You cannot calculate the total number of stillbirths from the data, only the number of stillbirths in the 5 years preceding the survey. There are examples elsewhere on the forum - I suggest starting by looking at the code here, and the correspondence in this thread, and searching the forum for other similar posts.
