Hello everyone,

I am going to be updating some analyses of unmet need that were conducted using Phase 6 Release 0 data with data from another country that has Phase 6 Release 3 data. I am trying to determine what the differences between these releases may be ahead of time, such as if variables may have been renamed or a different calculation of unmet need used. Does anyone know where I might find this information or of any distinctions between the different releases, especially with regard to unmet need, HIV testing, STI advice/treatment, prenatal care, vaccination, or skilled delivery attendance at birth? I am hoping that I can just run the same do file in Stata on the dataset for another country.

Thanks very much!
Erin

Dear User,
The best way is to look at the data alerts (if they exist) which is distributed with each downloaded dataset. Data alerts are appended to the country specific documentation, which is distributed with the IR and MR zip files.

Thank you for your post.
