I am interested in the indicator - average number of school years and am wondering which would be the correct variable to use between - hv108 and hv124.

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

There have been some recent exchanges on the forum regarding these variables in the Kenya 2022 survey. Please look for posts to/from "ceciliaca". DHS will reconstruct the variables for completed years of schooling. There will be an erratum for the related tables in the report and the next version of the data files will give the revised variables. Let us know if you have questions after reading what's already on the forum.
