Hello! I am wondering is anyone has been able to determine the STATA code or method for determining the level 1 and 2 sampling weights for the latest NFHS-5 for India. I have attempted this in the past utilizing a GITHUB link provided within this forum, however I continously reach dead links and and finding information that seems to pertain to the NFHS-4 and not the NFHS-5 (which has more districts considered).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:
DHS prepared a report on the construction of multilevel weights (https://www.dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/MR27/MR27.pdf). There have been other forum posts about the weights for the NFHS-4 and -5. Unfortunately, unlike most DHS surveys, the information needed to construct those weights is not included in the sampling appendix to the final reports on the NFHS's. The information was briefly available with a link but as you say those links no longer work.
I believe that some users have successfully constructed the weights for at least one of these two surveys, and I hope they will speak up, so we can make the weights available on our website. Users who have constructed multilevel weights for ANY DHS surveys, in fact, are asked to contact tom.pullum@icf.com.
