Hi,

I am using the Individual Recode dataset from NFHS-5. The recode document that is available via DHS only specifies the labels for each column within the dataset. However, the values entered for each column, for example, "where medical treatment was received" has responses as 0, 1, 2, and 8. I am not sure how to interpret that.

Can someone please help?

Thanks

To find the value labels, please open the file with .map extension in any Text Editor, and search for the variable of interest.
