Dear DHS Representative,

Can I get the Map of Pakistan by regions and clusters belonging to these regions showing the neonatal mortality rates using the STATA?

I am using the BR file (Pakistan DHS 2017-18).

If in case the information (variable) for Map is not available in BR file can I use IPUMS-DHS Data for getting the desired variables for getting the MAPs in STATA or any other Statistical Software like R?

I would be thankful to you if you can share what variables are required for getting the neonatal mortality rate on Maps and upload the video tutorial on Youtube DHS Channel as well.

Hi Dr. Hussain,

To make maps in Stata or R you will need to download the boundaries from the Spatial Data Repository and then use a package in either platform to generate the maps. This functionality is not native to either the program or the recode files
