Hi

I was doing the calculation for nutritional status among children in India, from NFHS 3 data set in spss. I want to do crosstabs with the SES of mother and other back ground variables. While generating the univariates for these three variables, I am not getting the result as mentioned in the NFHS 3 report. I am confused, I would like to know how i need to do it. How do i recode these variables into categories. I am not sure whether one need to re code the variable.

after recoding the variable for wasted i am getting this table

Weight for height for those children below 3 years of age along with their anemia status
