Unfortunately for your research question we do not have any direct questions about the use of traditional medicines among pregnant women in Nigeria, however, we do have other survey questions that could be of use for your research. The two most recent Nigeria surveys are the 2013 DHS and the 2010 MIS. The 2015 MIS survey will be released in the coming months and will have similar questions to the Nigeria 2010 MIS.

In both the 2013 DHS and 2010 MIS we have data on wealth, education of pregnant women, and use of ITNs. We also ask questions about where a woman took their child for advice or treatment for fever with one of the options being shop, traditional practitioner, or drug hawker (Q318 in NMIS 2010 or Q534 in NDHS 2013).

In the 2013 DHS we have questions about the type of provider a woman saw for antenatal care (Q409) as well as who assisted with a woman's birth (Q433). Both of these questions include a traditional birth attendant or community/village health worker option.

The 2010 MIS contains information on knowledge of malaria and malaria prevention methods. This section of the NMIS (Q404-413) is where you can find questions regarding knowledge of ITNs, however, there are not any questions directly asking about traditional medicines among pregnant women.
