Dear User,
A good place to begin is by accessing our website and clicking on the link for "data". From there you can click on the link for "Using Datasets for Analysis". That section contains many useful tips including videos for working with our data. In addition, please utilize The Guide to DHS Statistics http:// www.dhsprogram.com/publications/publication-dhsg1-dhs-questi onnaires-and-manuals.cfm and the Standard Recode Manual http:// dhsprogram.com/publications/publication-dhsg4-dhs-questionna ires-and-manuals.cfm
Normally the recode variables for domestic violence all begin with the letter "D", however, the Bangladesh DHS 2011 survey did not include questions on domestic violence.
V744A - V744E are the recode variables addressing attitudes re: wife-beating, look at V739 through V743D for variables on decision making. Please consult the Standard Recode manual for the rest of the variables you are interest in. Thank you!
