Here is a response from one of our DHS Sampling experts Ruilin Ren, that should answer your question.
An Enumeration Area is a counting unit created for population census, defined by the census in the country. DHS never defines this unit, but just uses it as sampling cluster. So we do not have any information on its spatial dimension. The size in population or households varies from country to country too. In general, it is about 100 households to 300 hundred households. For specific information about the EAs, you need to reference the population census document of that country, or Appendix A of the DHS final report where we usually have some information about the EAs.
