This is a very interesting questions and something that I know is of great programmatic and policy interest.
Unfortunately, it isn't data that we collect here at the DHS Program or can be easily calculated from our data.
This type of analysis would require a comprehensive list of health facilities in a country as well as population distribution.
It would be possible to estimate access to health facilities using DHS data if we had a list of facilities in the country from the time of the DHS survey. This is usually not the case and even then there is a lot of statistical error in such a measure since we geographically mask the DHS household cluster data to protect confidentiality.
Some past surveys have information on the service environment around a specific cluster but these are older surveys and also the measure of access wasn't necessarily truly representative.
