Hi all,

I am working on analyzing DHS data,,, focusing on maternal health indicators like antenatal care coverage and skilled birth attendance. I am using Stata for the analysis and would appreciate guidance on the following:

Sampling Weights :- I understand DHS data requires weighting for accurate national level estimates. Could someone confirm the correct process to apply weights in Stata for a variable like ANC coverage: ??

Clustered Sampling :- How do I account for the multi stage sampling design to ensure robust standard errors: ?? Should I use the svyset command, and what's the best approach to include strata and clusters: ??

Calculating Indicators :- Is there a standard code or formula available for deriving composite indicators.., like those covering both timing and frequency of antenatal visits: ??

I have reviewed the DHS CCSP Recode Manual but I want to ensure I am following best practices. Any tips, examples or links to resources would be greatly appreciated !!

Looking forward to learning from your experiences.

With Regards,
Daniel Jose
