Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

I don't use R, but the part of our GitHub site that gives DHS indicators in R should help with your question about weights (https://github.com/DHSProgram/DHS-Indicators-R).

It sounds like you are saying you merged data from one country with data from another country. How are you doing this? DHS files from different surveys can be appended, but not merged. Can you clarify what you mean by "merge"?
